The museum's fine art collection includes many rare and unusual pieces dating back to the 18th century.

A wide range of artists including Henri Rousseau, Adolph Schreyer, Gladys Brown Edwards, George Ford Morris and John Alexander Harington Bird are represented in the Arabian Horse Trust Collection. Additional artists represented in the museum's collection include Sartorius, Claviere, Troye and Voss. The museum's print collection is particularly strong in holdings of lithographs by Carle Vernet.

The Kentucky Horse Park is also home to thirteen monumental bronze sculptures. These sculptures are displayed throughout the International Museum of the Horse and the Park.  Notable pieces include Secretariat by sculptor Edwin Bogucki and The Spirit of the American Morgan by Gwen Reardon. The signature sculpture of the Kentucky Horse Park and the only monumental bronze sculpture in existence of the great racehorse Man o’ War, was created by Herbert Haseltine in 1948.
