LIBRARY & ARCHIVES
The International Library of the Horse is an equine-focused research center inside the International Museum of the Horse. It is home to over 5,000 volumes, and a collection of over 1,000 rare volumes dating to the 16th century. The Archives house the collections of Mary Jane Gallaher, Mary Littauer, Purebred Arabian Trust, and Kent Hollingsworth among others.
The Library is non-circulating and visits are by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Requests for holds on library material will only be filled once an appointment is scheduled. Research services are also available for an hourly fee. The Library holdings are searchable online. Please call 859-259-4231 to schedule an appointment.
