LEONARDO DA VINCI DRAWS THE HORSE: 1452-1519
Leonardo Da Vinci’s art ranks at the very top of the long list of Renaissance masters. A key to Da Vinci’s genius lies in the notebooks he regularly kept throughout his career. Nothing escaped the observation and pencil of Leonardo. Of particular interest to those studying the history of the horse are his drawings of the horse’s anatomy. Leonardo studied the horse’s skeletal and muscular systems, as well as its motion, with both insight and accuracy.
